The Brief
As a national federation competing against Europe’s elite, the Football Association of Wales set out to close the gap to higher-ranked nations by maximising the potential of its players, staff, and resources.
Working under Head Coach Craig Bellamy, the FAW aimed to embed a clear, high-intensity identity, aligned to the “Welsh Way”, supported with world-class performance analysis.

The Challenge
For national teams, time and resources are limited.
The FAW needed to ensure that every interaction, from tactical meetings and analysis sessions to in-game decisions, were aligned for maximum impact.
Crucially, they required a system that could connect their overarching philosophy with real, measurable outputs on the pitch. Without a centralised and accessible platform, insights risked being fragmented, slowing down decision-making and limiting their ability to track progress against Europe’s best.
The Solution
The FAW implemented our Performance Studio platform as a centralised ecosystem for data, video, and collaboration, powering every layer of their performance operation.
By bringing all analysis workflows into one place, Performance Studio enables:
A single source of truth: All departments work from the same data and video, ensuring alignment with the Welsh Way.
Benchmarking against the best: The team can compare key metrics – such as pressing intensity, line-breaking actions, and physical output – against leading international sides, turning ambition into measurable targets.
Faster, more agile workflows: Analysts can instantly search, clip, and share key moments, responding to last-minute coaching requests in seconds.
Enhanced in-game decision-making: Real-time insights support tactical adjustments, substitutions, and performance management – helping sustain intensity across the full 90 minutes.
Advanced visualisation tools: Features like ProView 3D allow coaches and players to explore moments from any angle and gain clearer insights into positioning and movement.
